If some man drives up to your house with a refrigerated truck and tries to sell you meat, do you buy it?

 

Me: No. I know a lot of people that do, but I don't trust strangers with meat trucks.

If he's just some guy in a truck with a giant cooler strapped in the back, no.

If it's the Schwan's man, maybe. I tend to prefer their ice cream over their entrees.

There are guys who sell seafood on the side of the road like that here. Also, there are signs posted Jumbo Shrimp 5.95/lb at random gas stations.

I've never purchased.

I've bought crawfish from the side of the road.

Back home we'd totally buy bushels of crabs from roadside stands. Everyone knew which ones were good and which ones padded the bottoms of the baskets or filled them with females.

I know literally nothing about crab. Is crab penis tasty? Is it Duckis? Is it?

Ha, wouldn't know. You don't eat that part. But male crabs are generally preferred because they're bigger and taste better. Also, since the crab population is declining, it's considered bad form to catch the females (I think in some areas it's banned) because they want to keep them alive to have more babies. Of course, I don't know who they think are fathering all those baby crabs...
