I read your post about Elavil. As far as it being an AD -- my doc said it isn't even prescribed for AD anymore -- it is really "old school" as far as that and I hadn't read that people were getting "hooked on it". I took it from October until a few days ago . . . I never felt like I was addicted.

Like many people, I really didn't think any thing of the side effects -- because most people don't get them. (I mean almost every drug as tons of side effects. One of Elavils was dizzyness -- hello! I am already dizzy that is one of the reasons why I am taking this medicine!)

Anyway, just wanted to let you know.

Re: ***LeelaH***

  • Oh thanks!  Maybe I won't be so apprehensive about trying it now.  Did you have any problems with your heart going crazy?  That is the side effect I have read mostly about.  Mine is crazy enough, I don't need any more problems with that.  Wink

And I love how every med these doctors have tried for my dizziness has that for a side effect!  Kind of counter-productive, don't you think???

    Did it help your dizziness?

Feel free to email me if you want at leela at netbrian dot com.
