Re: ? for music people

  • It's been around since Zapp and Roger Troutman back in the late 70's. Of course, I don't know WTF these children are doing with it now.
    ..
  • Oh - I thought it was some new thing. My bag.

  • Well, Roger Troutman was the only person that used it until... hell, it had to be the late 90's. You know, "Computer Love", "More Bounce to the Ounce"... oh, I know, you know the Dr. Dre/ Tupac Song "California"? That was Roger Troutman. I think he had it on lock for damn near 30 years until very recently.
    ..
  • Good to know. I was listening to the Best Of the Foo and their earlier stuff sounds different, and I was wondering if it might be due to the use of auto-tune, or some other technology.

  • You know what annoys me the most?  People who don't NEED autotune that use it.  I mean, if you sucknuts and can't sing, please use it so my ears don't bleed.  But R. Kelly, you do not need autotune.  Put that schit down.  Just let those songs pee right out of your mouth, pure and concentrated the way I like it.
