Mrs McGuire !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I tried to page you several months ago but I think it was when you were on vacation or something...
ANYWAY my DH and I love Dreams!!! We went in May 2008 and we are going back next year. I saw your post on the travel board about your friend's TA saving you $900 on your trip...just curious about how much you are paying! We usually book through expedia.com but I just found this website cheapcaribbean.com and it's $45 less per night than expedia, and it's for the suite in the new tower!
So, let me know if you want to chat about Dreams PV!
xoxo
Re: Mrs McGuire !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi there! It's a long one that I've typed here....
We went for our first time to Dreams PVR in September of this year. We LOVED it. For the two of us we stayed 6 nights, w/air, w/travel ins. for $2300 in older tower. When we go in May 2010 it will be for 9 nights, w/air, w/travel ins. for $2247 in older tower.
Our Travel agent here in Oregon wanted about $3100 for the EXACT same room, flights, etc. I think in that post I mentioned also that the travel agents ran the rates on the same day and the price doesn't reflect a group rate. We got a steal on it.
I was checking on Expedia, Travelocity & Applevacations prior to booking. Most places came in around $2600-2800 for 9 nights.
Oh, and the bride has the best room (not the suite on the top floor) in the Club tower for 8 nights for $1951. She lives out of state where flights are complicated but hasn't booked her air yet. Regardless, a damn good deal.
I happen to think that the view in the older tower is AMAZING. Nothing like waking up and laying in bed and seeing an unobstructed view of the ocean as far as the eye can see. We spend a lot of time outside our room exploring or soaking up the sun, so staying in the Club Tower seems silly to us. Our view was Worth.every.penny.
Will you be there in May 2010 as well? Wouldn't that be funny if we were there at the same time? If you are on FB, they have a FB page too.
The bride's travel agent says that he books hundreds of rooms at Dreams PVR, so if you want his information I will gladly give it to you.
Thanks for the Preferred membership information. I already signed up! Did you use this when you checked in the last time you went to Dreams? How many times have you been to Dreams? We are so excited, we can hardly wait!
Spain would be nice... I'd like to do that some day!
We have only been to Dreams once. We have a timeshare in Hawaii and we always used to go there, but it got to be SO expensive, so I started looking for a good AI and found Dreams! I think we hit the jackpot, it's so wonderful and soooo much cheaper than going to Hawaii!
To send a PM...next to where you hit the "reply" button, there's a button that says "contact", click that and then click "send a private message". Then type whatever you want.
To check and see if you have any private messages waiting for you, over on the left of this screen there's a blue bar that has all the boards listed. Towards the bottom there's one that says "check my private messages".
