Here's some christmas spirit for you

When I was getting my hair cut last week I was listening to another hair dresser talking with her client.

The client has a christmas tree in every. single. room. I had never heard of this. She said she has 7 christmas trees. When her hair dresser was questioning it she says, "That's nothing! My parents have 14 Christmas trees!"

Then the hair dresser threw in that her parents used to have 4 but since her brother died (in Iraq) they decided not to have Christmas this year. I mean, can we say two extremes?

i never knew people would have more than one tree, and i never knew many people did this.

  • My grandma did this until my grandpa passed away almost 10 years ago. Except they weren't full-sized trees - they were small (maybe 1-3' tall) and usually sat on a side table. She always decorated them very lavishly, but none were more so than the main tree in the living room.
  • We always had two growing up - a big, real one in the living room, and a small, fake one in the basement. Since we had so many ornaments, the small one would get a new theme each year - homemade, instruments, sports, angels, snowmen, etc.

  • My aunt has two. One upstairs in the media room, and one in the family room.

    That's a lot of decorating.

    And breaking down.
