Yup. That's when I went to bed last night. I was baking from 6pm when I got home until 3am. And I'm still not done.
I decided that this year, if I don't get at minimum a card from those who are getting cookie baskets from me (I don't even want a gift, just a card) they're off the list for next year.
Re: 3am
I'm impressed. I spent a few hours one night making spiced nuts for DH's co-workers and needed a fainting couch when I was done.
I wish I had the backing drive that some of you have. Oh wait, no I don't. I would just end up eating half of what I baked and wouldn't be able to fit out the door to make it to the post office to mail my packages, so then I would just stay home, eat the other half and wait for the flat bed truck and the wrecking ball required to transport me to the hospital.
I just a friendly gal looking for options.
I've done the baskets for years. This year I expanded the types of cookies I'm doing. I nixed the cake pops that I was going to do because it was just too much.
I have to do my linzer tarts tonight, another batch of Rum candy-no-bake-cookies, finish cake balls for the holiday party tomorrow, make the mexican wedding cookies and decorate the 8 gazillion sugar cookies that are now littering my living room in various containers.
The thank you is enough for me. I don't do this to get presents in return. But a nice holiday card would be appreciated.
