I really do love both dogs and cats - I have one dog and two cats.  Both animals have their pros and cons, but I can't imagine life without either!

I'm a dog person! I am not a huge fan of cats...due to the fact I was attacked by a cat when I was younger....

I'm partial to dogs... that's what I've always had. Never had a cat, some of them are super sweet but some cats make me nervous! I love animals so I tried to convince DH we should get a cat too..but we are now getting a baby instead. ; ) My SIL has a cat that is super mean and even bites the hand that feeds her.

I have four cats, but would LOVE to have a dog, too! My family has had two border collies...they are the sweetest dogs in the world!

Hands down, dogs all the way!!!!! I dont dislike cats but I am allergic to them so keep them away from me.

Even if I wasn't allergic I would probably still prefer dogs. Dogs(most of them) make me happy. I love that they are happy( for the most part), easy to please, loyal, and love their owners unconditionally.

I am definitely NOT a fan of cats.

Don't like the shedding, or the way they are always bathing themselves.

In fact, I have always been a little scared of them!  Silly, I know.

I voted both....but I'm partial to cats over dogs. I have 2 cats and 1 dog. I've always kind of favored my cats more than my dog for some reason....I just think they are sweeter. ) I still love my dog, but for different reasons (she's very fun to take while exercising and is always ready to play).

I voted dogs.  But I really do like cats.  I had one growing up and she was very sweet.  But I'm really not a fan of the litter box and I think I got lucky with my cat because most of my friends cats are either b!tchy or apathetic to people.  I like animals that enjoy interacting with me too so I'm not really interested in getting a pet that could care less if I was around.  So I like cats but I'm not sure I'll ever get one again. . . maybe if the kids want one someday.  Other than that, probably no.

I do have one caveat to the above:  I love kittens way more than puppies.  Don't get me wrong, puppies are adorable and fun but they sleep a lot and they don't play too hard.  But kittens are so energetic and funny.  They will play with anything and it seems to be the one time in a cat's life that they have tons of energy and want to be around people so they can play!  They are too funny!

I know, I love kittens, too!  For awhile there it seemed like we always had a kitten around, but of course then they grow up and aren't as fun!  We fostered in Gainesville, but all the rescues here are too far away from us.
