I got shafted
in my IRL SS with 6 other people. It's schitty to do to people, but sometimes it happens. They forget, or some insane bill they weren't expecting gets thrown in their hands or whatever.
Have you ever gotten the shaft IRL, or is this strictly because we're all middleaged balding men sitting in our Mother's basements?

We draw names in my family, but it isn't secret.
My office did a SS a few times, but they quit because of the shafting issue, although I never had a problem.
I just a friendly gal looking for options.
I've never been shafted IRL, but I tend to give better gifts than I receive.
Example: The last SS we did at school, I got a Santa mug with some kisses. Yes, there was a $10 limit. Not, that I didn't use my mug or appreciate the gift, but I know $ Tree merchandise when I see it.
We did SS when I was in middle school/high school, but this is the only one I've done since then.
BFF in MO just had one that she called "Friendsmas" that I might have to steal next year. I haven't bought gifts for friends in several years, just haven't been able to. But this way our close group of friends could atleast exchange gifts in a SS way.
I could use a good shafting.
I do a SS with my friends that I met on my local board (we haz our own sekrit board w/ about 15 ladies) and we have a big Chrismukkah party every year. It's so much awesome. I got a cool book on printing with things like potatoes & linoleum.
