What would you guys think about doing a second Secret Satan in June/July? This has been so much fun for the past 3 years, and everyone is always so creative - might be fun to mix it up and do it 2x per year.

TIP does a Halloween SS which is fun!  I think doing a Christmas in July one would be cool and would break up the year.

We were just complaining about getting everyone to participate who promises to, if it's twice a year it'll be less special and even harder to get everyone to follow through... (IMO)

I like that idea.  I would be much more likely to participate if the pressures of the holiday season weren't there.  Plus, that doubles the chance that we'd get something from hmonkey!

I'm kinda with CW on this. It seems like the majority are all about it, but there is a small percentage who think it's a good idea in theory, but aren't so good on the follow through. I think this would still be the case if we upped the frequency. But it sucks, b/c I think it's a fun thing, and definitely would be nice to look forward to twice a year.

I'm torn. Part of me likes the idea of getting a random present in July, and part of me thinks it would just cause trouble.

i haven't screwed anyone over, nor have i been screwed.  also, dh and i have been blessed with steady employment.  it's easy for me to say "yes."

no joke, i was serious. I get what those are saying about the added drama or making this less special, but I think that having another exchange in the summer would be fun.

I'm with hmo and the others - I like getting presents, and with a $15ish limit, it's not going to break the bank. Obviously people wouldn't have to participate if they didn't want to - but would be fun for those who did.

I'd suggest a selection date mid-May, a suggested "mail by" date of July 1, with a reveal on the 12th - this would give people plenty of time to shop/craft, mail packages and not have to worry about paying $37 to overnight a package.

it's too bad we can't have a virtual exchange, no money involved. find a picture/make a picture/write a story for your draw and post it to them on a given date. this way, no one gets screwed after they've spent their money, and we can make it up to them if they did!

I'm SS's biggest fan, so if it's happening you know I'm going to want to be a part of it. It just seems like this years SS has been very negative. I think it started with the asking to re-draw names...and maybe a year of SS healing would not be a bad thing.

Count me in! All the good stuff happens for me in the winter (Xmas, b-day, anniversary), so it'd be nice to get in the spirit and dish out some summer lovin'.

I, for one, freaking LOVE Secret Satan.  Plus, my birthday's in July so I always love extra presents.  Please, no one send me another kitten for my birthday this year.
