We sent out a record 80 this year and will probably receive about 50.  DH and I continue to send to family but stop sending to friends who haven't sent to us the previous year.

We sent 55 and as of today we have 19 (3 from people we didn't send to -- oops!).  Some of the people on our list are older relatives or people who we know never plan to send cards, but who we know enjoy getting them.

 i started doing that last year too. some of those ppl i still send e-cards to though.

I send out to people who send to me the previous year plus a few friends and family that don't normally do cards but like receiving them

I will continue to send cards to family even if we don't receive cards from them.  However, I will discontinue sending to friends/distant relatives if we don't receive a card for 2 yrs and don't speak to them in the same time period. 

I get irked when people send cards to our house addressed only to SO.  Hello!  I sent you the card, its my note, at least acknowledge me.

This year we sent out about 55 and probably received about 15-20....

We sent a card to everyone who we were not buying presents for.

I've been getting a lot of the picture cards and I'm not sure what to do with them all because they don't stand on their own. Right now they're all over my fridge with magnets but I'd like to find some other way to display them. I like the traditional cards that stand on their own because I can put them out on display easier.

Usually I receive fewer cards than I send out, but this year I am not sending out cards, so it's the opposite. Next year I will resume sending out cards to everyone and their mother.

this year we seemed to send/receive about the same number. the past few years i've sent out many more and barely received any back. my side are big card senders while my husbands couldn't care less... with his premission i dropped his side from my christmas card list... why send if you dont receive? however we did it one from his side this year...his cousin, who conviently is getting married soon (sucking up for the presents???).
