The gift was awesome. This rather large box arrived at my door on Wednesday night and I immediately knew it was from my SS. Then I saw her IRL name and was all OMG SQUEE while FI wondered if he should call an ambulance, because I rarely reach that octave. i think he was a little jealous.
I got food! Lots of stuff from N'Awlins (you like my bastardized spelling?) and also(!!!) a Saints christmas cap which I plan on wearing to my holiday party this weekend. She sent me a TON of stuff. I kept going, omg there's more?!
I got fish fry, hush puppy mix, dirty rice mix, red beans and rice mix, 2 different kinds of jellies, a cookbook to go along with said jellies, some cane confectioners sugar, some seasonings, 2 bags of supa awesome chips
(Voodoo gumbo chips!!), fried pies, coffee with chickory (which I have yet to google... what is chickory?) from her area AND beignet mix! I'm supa excited to try and make them, though I'm pretty sure I'm going to eff it up and end up with beignet funnel cake, like the last time I tried to make doughnuts.
So, anyhoo, this is why I had the best SS EVER. Thank you HisEarth!!
