What's everyone up to for the weekend?
Looks like a lot of us are in for snow...!

Re: Friday!
Well, unlike last Friday, I am not a Crabby McCrabberson today
. We actually have a ton of things to do, but C's two grad classes are officially OVER and her work is (for the moment) not completely insane. So hooray!!
Tonight we are hoping to get my stepdad's xmas gift taken care of (at a store a couple miles from home), and I should probably do a load or two of laundry. Oh, and I'll do some more gift-wrapping.
Tomorrow will be an xmas shopping bonanza! We have to finish all of our shopping tomorrow, no exceptions!! We're going to a big mall, and I'm sure the stores are going to be completely crazy, but we just have to put our game faces on and make it through!
Then on Sunday...we are supposed to spend the day split between my two parents' houses having "Xmas" (because we'll be spending the actual day with C's fam in PA this year)...but we might be getting a foot of snow...and my family lives an hour away....so I have no idea what's going to happen with that! Nothing we can do about it though. We'll see how the forecast develops and call my family and just be prepared to be flexible, I guess.
Luckily, after the weekend we only work 2 days and then we are off until the 29th!

I have a hair appointment tomorrow by my parents, so I'll stop by and see them.
Otherwise this weekend is wide open. We wanted to do dinner with our best friends to exchange Christmas prezzies, but my friend's grandma passed away and she flew across the country 2 (?) days ago for the funeral. I'm not sure when she's getting back in, or what she'll be up for, so we'll play that one by ear.
Maybe I don't have a heightened sense of smell, but I've never smelled any vagina on my pants. -- TSD
Bloggity Blog - You know you want to...
Tonight - I need to do a bit of Christmas shopping on my way home. Mainly stocking stuffer type things for K. Once home I'll clean up the paint supplies in the nursery and maybe finish packing up my office.
Saturday - We're buying our Christmas tree! And then I really need to figure out what else I'm getting K. I think I know what she got me. And if I'm correct it means she spent way too much money. So now I'm trying to figure out what I can do to even things out.
Sunday - Shopping, cleaning, errands. Probably not much different than any other weekend for us.
Tonight- They are judging holiday decor in our building. We will stick around to see if we placed and then take the girls to see all the lights.
Tomorrow- We are going to see my mom
Sunday-S's father and stepmom are coming over. She is NOT at all happy about it either. I am going to make a bunch of snacks and hope the food and the super cute kids running around lessen the awkwardness and they beat a hasty retreat, LOL.
They are predicting 8-14 inches of snow. That amount of snow in DC will grind things to a halt (although I am hoping not!)
L needs to start her shopping and was planning on going to the mall in the morning with the kids and I was planning on going to Target and Toys R Us in the morning to shop for the family the clinic is sponsoring. We'll probably still go since we were going first thing in the morning and hopefully the snow won't be too bad overnight. I am scheduled to pick up a cake for my dad's birthday tomorrow at 5. I am just going to play that by ear - I may have to get it on Sunday which is fine.
Aside from the shopping we need to do, we have plenty that needs to be done at home. The kids will have a blast playing in the snow, we need to scrub the house down, we have a ton of presents that need to be wrapped, and L needs to make the cakes for the kids' teachers. And then my parents are coming on Sunday afternoon - and we'll celebrate my dad's birthday/open gifts for the kids from them and go out to dinner. I wish we could just have a lazy snowed in weekend.
I'm so excited about all this snow! Yay.
Gah...I just spent an hour and 15 minutes in line at the Post Office. The good news is that all of our cookies have been mailed out. So, so happy about this!
Tonight: Dinner out and finishing up Christmas shopping at the mall. The plan was to do this tomorrow, but we're both horrible, nervous drivers in the snow, so we rescheduled.
Tomorrow: Lazy day at home, watching moves, wrapping gifts, etc. We had a date night planned to have dinner at a restaurant near the White House and then go see the National Christmas Tree and the 50 state trees, but that's not likely to happen now due to the snow. Bummer.
Sunday: Scrubbing our house down. It looks like flour, sugar and sprinkles exploded in our kitchen.
We had planned to go to Leesburg tomorrow after Jen's orthodontist appointment to finish our Christmas shopping, but we'll see - I've lived in DC for five years and they often predict a foot of snow and it turns out to be more like two inches. So I am skeptical - and also hoping that they're wrong this time b/c the weekend before Christmas is busy and exciting for everyone, and that's a lot of plans getting ruined. I want the real foot of snow to come sometime in February (on a weekday!) when I'm sick of winter and going to work and I can use it as an excuse to work from home for a few days
Sunday we're having a friend over for brunch (I'm making tiny chicken puffs and cinnamon rolls), and we'll try to go to Leesburg then if we don't make it on Saturday. Otherwise just laundry, cleaning, and packing for NYC since I leave Monday as soon as my physical therapy is over.
At the moment it's SUNNY in Seattle! Wish we WERE getting snow, but I'll take the sunshine!!!
Tonight I'm hitting happy hour with a work friend and an old work friend who was laid off from our company in February. Then hopefully some errands on my way home. Tomorrow, there should be enough decent weather to finally get my outside Christmas lights up in the morning since my DD says that Santa won't come to our house if there aren't lights on it, haha! Then likely wrapping gifts and assembling the pink Barbie bike with training wheels my DD is getting from Santa. I am SO excited for her to get it! My DP is busy working this weekend, but at some point she will come over and we will get to do something fun and relaxing together.
we're at the in-laws for the weekend to celebrate christmas a little early. we stopped at her cousins' house on the way up, too, and spent some time over there, which was fun. we don't see them as often as we like, but they're awesome.
i'm really loving how things have pretty much done a 180 over the last year or so with her parents. not so much looking forward to her brother and sil's arrival tomorrow, but hey.
