  • are you in the blackberry browser?

  • Yes, this is the default blackberry browser I'm talking about. When you hit the "Go To..." menu item, you get a field where you can type in a web site and a search field. There USED to be a pull down menu that included Bing, Google, Wikipedia, and others. I now only have Bing as an option.

After doing more reading on the subject, it appears that Verizon is starting to push this out to newer devices thanks to an agreement with Microsoft.

For now I guess I'll download the google app and hope they change their minds about forcing bing on me.

  • Weird, mine still defaults to google. Though honestly I usually use the bolt browser. You might try that.

  • I'm not sure how to change it, but you can text to google. Thats what I do and its fast. Just text whatever you're looking for to 466453 and it will send a text with a response. HTH!

  • I think...

If you open the browser, the click the blackberry button then options- you get browser options - browser configuration and default search provider is listed as well as what you want your home page, etc.
