I invented a chocolate peanut butter bread pudding recipe this year and I'm going to make that. It's pretty good, but I am still perfecting it.

I was going to make a genoise, but we'll be at the ILs and they won't have the equipment that I'll need and I'm not going to pack my entire kitchen.  I might just make a pie to take down the road in addition to the myriad of baked goods that I'm bringing. 

Thus far I'm bringing these:

Gingerbread men

Applesauce-Spice Cupcakes

Either Pistachio Raspberry Cupcakes or Blackberry Cornmeal Cupcakes

Trios (thumprint cookies with apricot, raspberry and strawberry jam)

Pistachio Praline Bars

Meringue Stars in vanilla, chocolate and coffee

I made a candycane cake for a party I hosted last week.  It uses boxed cake mixes (white cake and red velvet) that are "doctored up" (I'll have to look up the recipes at home) and swirled together.  It has a homemade peppermint cream cheese frosting that was soooo yummy and soooo easy.   It made a 4 layer eight inch round cake and then I crushed up candycanes and sprinkled around the base of the cake and served it on my crystal cake platter.  It looked very festive and everyone loved it.

I'm just making a gingerbread cake with cinnamon whipped cream.

Don't ask for the recipe, because it's a box mix..shhh 

Everyone's desserts sound delicious. I really shouldn't look at this board when I'm hungry.

It is really pretty when put on glass cake stand.  Sometimes we make holly out of red/green gum drops.

I'm making a red, green, and white fruit tart using kiwi and strawberries. The tart will be made out of sugar cookie dough. Once you bake it pour the spread made out of cream cheese,whipped cream, and sugar (this is mixed together in a bowl). Then decorate with layers of kiwi and strawberries to make it festive. Its so yummy and easy.
