Best Moment of the Week...

image2brides:
I think we should start this as a tradition on Fridays. I like it.Smile

A few of us got in on this last week and 2brides suggested we make it a weekly tradition. I agree...Seems like a good way to end off the week on a positive note. Big Smile

The thought behind this question is that regardless of how hellish your week may have been, chances are you've experienced at least one moment that put a smile on your face. Come on and share the wonderful, hysterical or down right cheesy best moment of your week!!!

Re: Best Moment of the Week...

  • DW and I are very familiar with the area around our RE's office. Our favorite mall is close by and we've actually been to her office 4 times now....We'll on the way to the office for our first iui, we were running a little behind schedule and actually got LOST....like we were lost driving to an area of town we go to on a weekly basis!!! We were baffled. Once we got our bearings, we couldn't find a place to make a legal u-turn and ended up driving a mile or two further out of our way. Once we were finally able to make the u-turn and were headed in the right direction, we got stuck behind a bunch of mall traffic. The light cycled to green two times before we were actually able to move through the light. So frustrating. Our RE actually opened the office for us outside of normal business hours so we were REALLY nervous about being late.  We started out snapping at each other due to nerves and then finally looked at one another and cracked up laughing. It was hysterical. I'm mean seriously....I still don't understand how we got lost in the first place. Confused

  • I didn't get Christmas presents for very many friends this year, but I did give a keychain made out of a blonde Barbie head to my friend Kendra. She loved it, and said she burst out laughing when she opened the package, and said it was one of the most creative gifts she's ever been given. That just made me really happy :)

(She's a huge fan of Dexter, and it's a reference to something big that happens in the first season. I didn't just randomly decide to make keychains out of doll parts :))

  • The easy winner for best moment of the week was when the ultrasound tech said on Monday, "Congratulations, you're having a boy!" And then told us how he's measuring right on track and looking great.

Runner up is when C got finished with her final early last night and came home in time to have dinner with me!

  • shopping for christmas outfits for actual children instead of my usual daydreaming browsing. would you know it, they even had an outfit that said "wishes come true" Smile
  • K talking to my belly last night.  We've so busy and I haven't felt well so there hasn't been much cuddling on the couch.  Last night though she held a whole conversation with the baby and it made me :-)

ETA - Okay I want to edit mine.  While last night was great I think the best moment was when I opened the box of Christmas gifts that arrived from my parents to find that my mom had knit a stocking for the baby.  She also wrapped up a few gifts "for the baby."  It's so awesome to have supportive parents.

  • Decorating the tree on Sunday. The kids were SO excited. They now call our living room their "workshop" and love to go in there and play with the santa, snowmen, sleighs, and other decorations that my MIL gave us years ago that I thought were silly and frivolous.  Now I know why we have them.Smile

  • Last night when I was helping my DD get her jammies on she said to me, "Mommy, you're the best mommy in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD."  With that long, exaggerated phrasing on the 'whole wide world' part.  I'm sure she heard it used in some fashion, somewhere else, but it was pretty darn sweet.  I stopped what I was doing, gave her the biggest hug and kiss and thanked her...and had the biggest cheesy mom grin ever!Big Smile
  • Today we went to my church's christmas pagent. In it there was a video of the Pre K through K classes talking about what happens during Christmas. One cute little boy says "I think there'll be punpkins and costumes or sumpthin for Christmas... Right??????

Umm wrong holiday, but so cute I just wanted to bite his cheek!!!!
