Bella's Bistro - My Dairy Free Food Blog
1. the owners gave us all an amex gift card this year. my immediate boss gave me a spa gift certificate.
2. our company had a nice lunch at a country club and our department had a nice lunch at a nice restaurant. we did a gift exchange at each of the lunches.

1. I just started my job in October but I got a xmas bonus and I had no idea it was coming, so I very surprised. I figured it would be prorated and it wasn't.....I got a full week's pay just like everyone else!
2. Yes, last week we had a fancy party at a country club. It was very nice.

Our cash bonus is based on how long we have worked for company. We also get $25 gift card to Safeway. And then they do a drawing for various gifts as well.
We used to have a dinner at the convention center. But due to the economy, they decided to discontinue this dinner in order to save money.
I am treated so well at my company with great benefits but I would have to say that my work bridal shower was very touching and it meant a lot to me because they bought me white dishes from my Pottery Barn registry.
1. No
2. Yes. In past years we've had really nice holiday parties at a convention center and we could bring a guest. This year with the economy they scaled down to dinner with just the employees at a nice restaurant. They have door prize drawings for really nice gifts.
3. None that I can think of. Normally we get a Christmas card or calendar that just goes in the trash. This year they claimed that they donated some money to a charity in lieu of our Christmas gift. I guess that was a nice gesture.
1. Each year we get a Christmas bonus. Sometimes it's a cheque, sometimes it's cash. Usually in the 200-300 range. This year, I got a few hundred dollars (althought they were taxed) but at the beginning of the month, I received a large bonus in the thousands range. HUGE surprise.
2. We always go out to a nice restaurant for lunch and cocktails and then get to go home afterwards.
3. Besides the bonus from my boss, each partner gives us a nice gift. One always gives us each a spa day, the other usually nice bottles of wine, starbucks, things like that.
I am really fortunate to work in a small firm where we still have such nice perks.
