Lady-across-the-hall is a big gal. Over 300 pounds, probably 350. And perpetually on a diet. She's got horrible knees and complains about how she doesn't know why her knees are so bad.
She hollared at me when I was bringing up my lunch.
"Hey! What are you eating?"
Me: A grilled chicken sandwich.
Her: Is that how you're losing weight? Because I see you eating oatmeal every morning (True.) and I want to know what you're eating to lose weight.
The irony: She's stuffing her face with Xmas treats while she's saying this.
I told her I was currently on the I'm-too-busy-packing-to-eat diet and that I didn't have an actual methodology.
She looked at me and said, "I just hate people who lose weight doing nothing."
*smh*
I'm not skinny. I'm still overweight. But I'm not "doing nothing," either. Until this week 'o' packing, I'd been working out consistently and eating right. Perhaps if she'd get off her asss and put down the snacks, she could lose weight, too.

Re: Not in the mood
The Ogre constantly mentions how I must have some sort of tapeworm because I eat SOOOO much and am skinny. Well, the anxiety she gives me burns off a lot of calories, I work out, have a pretty active life (with the dogs, gardening, cleaning like a maniac).
It is not my fault she is over 400lbs and can't even walk down 3 flights of stairs if the building were on fire (during the fire drill, she stayed in her office because the elevator had been turned off). She doesn't come to work on days the elevator isn't working.
I'm never in the mood to deal with her. Put down the cigs, Smokey McGee and walk down some stairs. It isn't natural for anyone to be that big.
