Hotel/dinner ideas for Dec. 23rd?

My DH and I will be staying with my parents for the holidays, but are having a night to ourselves on the 23rd.  We plan on staying in downtown MKE and walking to dinner somewhere, but not sure about where to go.  Two years ago we stayed at Hotel Metro and had a hard time finding restaurants that were open past 8 or 9 b/c of the holiday, grr.  Any ideas?

Re: Hotel/dinner ideas for Dec. 23rd?

  • It seems weird that things would be closed! Why not call a couple restaurants first to make sure they will be open, and then book a nearby hotel? The ones right in the middle of everything are Hotel Metro and the Pfister. The Pfister is beautiful for Christmas but I heard that the rooms are nothing special. There's also the Intercontinental.
