Has anyone heard the interview with Bobby Knight saying that integrity is gone in College Basketball? Is he really one to talk integrity?

Re: Bobby Knight
Well, I'll just say that I'm a Bobby Knight fan. I got to watch him coach and got the opportunity to hear him speak. I think he does some stupid things, but I also think a lot of people have a jaded view of him.
As far as integrity in college b-ball, well, when he was at Indiana, he had a tremendous graduation rate--and if his players ever missed a class they were benched for the next game. He stressed to his teams that their #1 job while at Indiana was to gain the knowledge they would receive from their professors and graduate with a degree. He also had ZERO NCAA violations for recruitment or study halls, or test taking, etc. He really did hold his players up to the highest standards--higher than what he even had for himself. I don't know if you all realize this, but while Bobby Knight was at Indiana, we had ZERO corporate sponsorship courtside in Assembly Hall. Not one Coke sign, not one Converse logo other inside the arena other than what the spectators held in their hand or what the team wore on their feet. All it was was Indiana University and Indiana University Athletics and that was because he wanted the focus to be on the team, not all the other distractions. He was so passionate about the team that he often took it too far and acted like a jackass. Anger issues? Definitely. But he really did have a tremendous amount of integrity and respect for the institution in which he served at that time.
