Puppy update....

Ok, yesterday I asked for vet recs and tips/advice on puppies. Thank you all for your help and time! Just wanted to let you all know that I think we're going to hold off on getting a puppy - need some more time to get settled into our house, get another paycheck coming in (I start teaching in a few weeks!!!) and just figure out exactly how much time we'll be able to spend with a dog. Oh, also - I was thinking about all the dogs in my family and realized that after spending time with them, my eyes started itching - allergies??? I'll have to check that out before getting a pup!

For now, I'll just have to keep my baby fever at bay by taking extra good care of my DH rather than my DH and a puppy! lol....

Re: Puppy update....

  • i can speak from experience that pets don't cure baby fever...I wound up with 4 cats trying to cure mine...and we still have a baby :) Good luck with your teaching job!
  • Haha... our puppy is two years old but we weren't married when we got her so kids were out of the question then.

Good luck teaching! What grade are you going to teach? I teach first grade. : )

I'm a special ed teacher, so I'm going to be doing 7th grade inclusion in different classes. VERY different than teaching some kindergarteners last year!! I'll just have to save my kindergarten supplies for my own kids someday! Big Smile I'm very excited to be starting up school soon!

If you guys ever need crafty/fun ideas or website resources for teaching the little guys, let me know - I have TONS!
