Sorry to be a poll whore tonight, but while the hubby is watching his game, I thought it would be fun to start another one up. I stole this from the Atlanta Nestie Board.?1. I'm not going to make this very interesting... but here are my answers:
1. We went to VA and NY and Canada in June.
2 - 3. We're having a baby.... no traveling for us!
4. DH and I went to Ireland for our honeymoon, and we would love to go back soon.
1. Have you gone on any vacations this year?
yes, we went to New Mexico for my cousin's wedding. We stayed with my family and had a blast.
2. Where are you going later this year?
We're going to Atlanta for a food fest and to visit some friends.
3. What is your big trip planned for next year?
We're not sure where we'll be financially next year, but my dad is sending us to Houston for a business trip. What a dear!
4. Any random thoughts?
It's getting harder and harder to not freak out about money.
This year...which I should say is the school year for me...
1. Have you gone on any vacations this year? We went to NYC for Thanksgiving and NC to the mountians
2. Where are you going later this year? nothing later this year
3. What is your big trip planned for next year? well we just decided to TTC so depending on that no trips planned as of yet
4. Any random thoughts? we do want to go to Europe at some point...hopefully with our friends
3. What is your big trip planned for next year? Well, there are a couple of things in the works. B wants to go to Japan for a week in April 2009. He's been planning this for like 2 years and now all of a sudden it seems so close! I would rather go other places. We also have a trip with friends planned to Wine Country next year but we aren't sure about when next year it will happen yet.
4. Any random thoughts? We've been trying so hard to get back to NYC since our HM. We loved it and we really wanna go back. I'm thinking since our HM was in the summer, it would be nice to go back in the winter. I'd love to do maybe a short (4 or 5 day) vacay up there this winter, maybe around Christmas time, but who knows.

We only had a weekend getaway to Clearwater Beach, for our first wedding anniversary.
2. Where are you going later this year?
I don't think we're going anywhere else. With Manny studying for the CPA and trying not to freak out that my job is SUPER slow I don't think we're going to go anywhere. :-(
3. What is your big trip planned for next year?
We have some vacation packages that we HAVE to use or loose it. So we're probably going to Daytona, Vegas and Santo Domingo.
4. Any random thoughts?
The economy is really scaring me.
I hope work picks up, I hate having an uncertain future.

Fun poll! I am always planning upcoming trips!! It's one of my favorite things to do.
1. Have you gone on any vacations this year? Yes. We took a 7-night Western Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon in February.
2. Where are you going later this year? In October, we are going to be spending a week in Asheville!! I am so excited. I have never been to NC in the fall and I've heard it's so beautiful that time of year. We have a bunch of neat things planned for that trip.
3. What is your big trip planned for next year? We are hoping to take our first ski trip in the winter (maybe for our 1st wedding anniversary in February!). Neither of us have ever been before. We're also planning a trip to Seattle next summer to visit some of my friends. It will be my husband's first trip to WA state, which is where I am from originally.
4. Any random thoughts? I'm just hoping for sunny weather tomorrow for our barbeque in the afternoon!

Not really - went home in January for a week to see family and help my brother pack up and move.
2. Where are you going later this year?
I cannot wait - we are leaving in a week and a half for Paris and Serbia. It's an odd combination I know - my brother and fiancee live in Paris and are getting married in Serbia. Then just a week later they are having a celebration back home in New Jersey since only the immediate family are going to the first wedding. In November we're taking a long weekend to Hilton Head with my husband's family - yearly tradition.That's enough to keep us busy!
3. What is your big trip planned for next year?
All of this travel has us pretty tapped out - we'll need a new car next year and would like to do some home improvements. We're thinking of a cruise but at an off-time like January or September. Hopefully we'll get back to our annual beach weekend, too.
4. Any random thoughts?
I'm sad that my days off are over and I have to go back to work tomorrow.
1. Have you gone on any vacations this year? Yes, to the Keys for a long weekend.
2. Where are you going later this year? Washinton, D.C. or New York City (whichever I get the best deal on).
3. What is your big trip planned for next year? We really want to go on a Holland America cruise from Montreal to Boston.
4. Any random thoughts? I work to travel, I wish I could be a travel show host like Samantha Brown on Travel Channel. That would be my dream job.
1. Went on a cruise to Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Cozumel, Mexico; Labadee, Haiti; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; for our honeymoon. Was lots of fun! I loved it.
2. This year I think we're gonna kind of lay low though we always go to NY for Christmas in December. We're gonna try to fit in a trip to Dallas sometime before the end of the year as well to visit my hubby's cousin.
3. Next year we are hoping to try and make it to Spain in May as we've been dying to go and we want to attend a friends wedding.
4. I wish I was on vacation now!
2. Where are you going later this year? We are hoping to do a mini "babymoon" in the fall. Not sure yet, maybe Key West, or somewhere up near Gulf Shores Al.
3. What is your big trip planned for next year? We will have an infant so probaby just little trips to our parents homes and Disney (my mom has a DVC membership so we can stay at Disney whenever) . We are planning to go to Michigan next summer. Haven't thought that far ahead yet.
4. Any random thoughts? I just want the next 18 weeks to fly by so I can have my little munchkin here!!!

We've taken several trips up to Michigan to visit family.

We'll probably do one more trip up to Michigan this fall. Then hopefully, we'll either go to California or Hawaii in November/December.

Nothing is set in stone yet, but whatever big trip we don't take this year, I'd like to do next year....before having another baby!
4. Any random thoughts?
Between having a 1-year-old, the economy, and the outrageous cost of gas and air travel, it's hard to explain away spending a lot of money on vacation. We definitely used to travel more a couple years ago. My advice to those without kids is to travel now while you have a chance - things definitely change after expanding your family! You start seeing each $ sign as potential diapers or outfits for your child. lol

A couple: Bahamas Cruise for our anniversary, A weekend camping (nice camping...in a lodge, I'm not a tent girl) with friends, the Rocky Mountains with my family,

later next month we are going to Virginia for a long weekend.

nothing planning we mostly do little trips and plan to do a BIG trip for our 5 years anniversaries.

1. Have you gone on any vacations this year? We did our big trip late last year (Europe). This year was just the honeymoon and we stayed close to home - we went to Disney World!
2. Where are you going later this year? Right now, we're only planning on one trip up to Asheville, NC. We're in the process of selling houses, buying a house together, moving, etc. It's too crazy to do much traveling!

1. Have you gone on any vacations this year? We went to Myrtle Beach with my Grandfather and Dad for my Gfathers WWII Navy reunion. We also just got back from Hutchinson Island/Stuart for the weekend to see family

4. Any random thoughts? Just freaking out about $$, Baby, and Health.

Yes, we spent a week in the Keys for the week of July 4th (family trip w/ the in-laws)

We are going for a 3 day trip to L.A. in August for our anniversary. We are also going to my best friend's wedding in Cincinnati in October!

We don't have one yet, we like smaller trips for just the two of us.

I love my family (including in-laws) but vacations are SO much more relaxing with just DH and me!

In March we were gone just about every weekend watching Spring Training (baseball) around the state of Florida. We were also just in Minnesota visiting family and friends a couple weeks ago.

Not sure, I know we will be going to Minnesota with the baby, but not sure when.

Should be interesting seeing how much different it will be to travel with a baby next year!! I bet I'll be wishing I had a 3rd arm or something.
1. Have you gone on any vacations this year? We went to Ohio earlier this year to visit with family and play in the snow. For July 4th we went to our family cabin the mountains in NC for 10 days.. ahhhh so nice
