Good morning ladies!  We're finally here.  We're moved in and hubby has been at work for a week.  I'm getting the lay of the land and I only got lost once and that was yesterday when I went to the water company in Mandeville.  Their building isn't labeled and all I had to go by was the Waffle house and lake. 
However, my getting lost found the lake.  It's pretty and I can't wait to show my husband!

Anyway!  Are there any off leash dog parks around?  My poor puddy needs to run and I don't know where any dog parks are.

My vet has an off leash park as well as the agility training course. Her clinic is called the Animal Health Clinic and it is on 21st street in Covington. I don't know if you dogs like to swim, but they also have a pool and puppy playtime/doggie daycare as well. Do you have any bigger dogs? My 9 mo old boxer LOVES to play!!

LSU!  Seriously?  Do we have to pay to use it?  My dog is 52 lbs.  He can handle anything.  He loves to wrestle and run.  He just starting liking the water too.

You have to pay to use the pool, but the dog park and agility course are free to use during their business hours. I try to take Charlie to puppy playtime/doggie daycare at least once a month. I pay the few extra dollars for him to get to play in the pool. it is hysterical to see them all splashing around like little kids!!

Excellent!  I'll give them a call tomorrow and see about taking Mason up there.  We took him to the park in the quarter yesterday and it was nice but we parked really far away.  Also, people were looking at us like we were horrible dog owners because we had him in the heat.

The lakefront park is a great place, and usually there are dogs training for agility during the week in the morning. I just love walking by the lake and our dogs love it.

Glad you all got here safe and sound!!! Don't know the northshore, but the place LSU mentioned sounds perfect! Maggie, my 7 month old lab, would love something like that!!
