Do you include your pets?

When you're tagging presents do you include your pets names in the "From" area?

I'll admit it. I'm a giant dork. I totally do. :-/

Re: Do you include your pets?

  • I sometimes sign their names to birthday cards, Christmas cards, etc., but gift tags are typically too small for that.  Although every year SIL's cats get a gift from my cat.

  • It shouldn't be surprising that we (okay, *I*) do. This year, he's giving rescue league calendars to all the "grandparents." But it's fitting since he's featured in it. And I... er, HE always gets a card for H.
  • To H, yes.  And to Mom's dog from our dogs.

  • I do to my Mom and FI's parents. Not my dad, because (1) he'd worry I had hit my head and (2) he's never seen them.

I don't know why I find it so amusing (and every year, I find it amusing) to give gifts from all of us.

  • I don't even put to/from tags on family presents. If I am giving a hostess gift or something, I either do the ghetto wrapping paper tag or I use a card (I seem to always have random cards leftover).

  • Yes. But only to DH and my mom.  This is so embarrassing to admit but I thought we were the only weird ones.

  • FatCat is included on our card.
  • Only if it is a gift they are giving.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
  • We include everyone and anyone in the "From" section. It's a family tradition.

This year, I got something from John Stossel - which is funny, since he sent something from my house to one of my bros. H got a present from Bob Vila and Ayn Rand - they pitched in together. I didn't even know they were friends.

Usually we try to have the senders be connected to the gift or the recipient in some way. All my mom's gifts were from Mary this year - and they were all religious. Another brother got a painting of Connecticut, and it came from Joe Liebermann and Chris Dodd. My SIL got a giftcard to Borders that was from Skippyjon Jones, because she loves children's books.

Of course, Bacon mostly gets stuff from Santa and from Grandma&Granddad. We'll wait till she's older to start the funny names.
