I live in Holland so a lot of recipes I can't use because of items being available to me without having to go to an international store and pay way way to much and even then a lot of things aren't available.
One of these items were crescent rolls (the package kind, in the roll) because they don't have them here. However, they do have croissants in the little roll. I got kind of curious as to what a crescent roll actually was so googled it and voila, the exact same thing as a croissant! What a freaking moron! And seriously, I've passed up so many recipes because I didn't think I could find crescent rolls!
Master Chef, right?
so... if you have any good recipes that include crescent rolls (OR croissants) for my Christmas lunch I would be very grateful if you'd share them because now I know I can get them!
Re: I'm an idiot and thought I'd share a funny story
What took you to Holland?
What about croissant paninis? You could put really anything in them you want. Slice them open and put in ham, gruyere, pancetta or prosciutto, and press them. You could add in tomatoes, some carmelized onion, artichoke hearts...
I did a study abroad program at the University of Wales, in the UK, and while there did a little 4 day weekend to Amsterdam with friends. While in Amsterdam (and on Valentines day night) I met my (now) husband and when my semester was over instead of going back to the US, I packed my stuff and moved to Amsterdam. Been here ever since and now have dual citizenship! It was an absolutely crazy year for me. Moved to Wales in January, met DH on V-day, got engaged on Tax day (April 15th) and married in November, a 10 month whirlwind of excitement. We've been married 5 years now.
Wow! That's crazy! I mean, good crazy.
Do you miss America? How often do you go home?
They just had these on the Today show this morning. They looked absolutely delicious.
To OP, these use biscuit dough, but I think it would work fine with the crescent/croissant
roll dough:

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
Spread out the crescent roll and line the bottom of a casserole dish. Then mix cooked sausage and cream cheese (may have to melt it in the microwave to make it spreadable) together and spread on top. Cover with another layer of crescent roll. Then bake in the oven according to temp and time on crescent roll packaging. Cut into squares and serve. Yum!
I've got more issues than a magazine
someone made this for a work potluck and it looked really good. i didn't eat it because it had chicken in it but i'd love to try to make a vegetarian version.
