Prenatal classes - Milwaukee
Hey ladies -- Since I'm still relatively new to the area, can you suggest any places to take good prenatal classes? I'm having a hard time finding much... at least somewhat near me in Shorewood. I'm willing to drive a little, but I haven't found too many options at all.
-Prenatal Yoga?
-Prenatal water aerobics? (I haven't found anywhere that has this yet)
-Any other advice I would love it!
TIA!!
Re: Prenatal classes - Milwaukee
OMG I didn't even know you were PG!!!! How exciting!!! Did all our baby talking at dinner make you want a baby? LOL Congrats to you guys!
What's your due date?
LOL... Thanks! The truth is that I actually found out that I was PG about 3 days before our dinner!! It was SO hard to keep my mouth shut, but it was just one of those things that it didn't feel right to tell others before I told my immediate family maybe I'm weird like that That's part of the reason I didn't mind all the baby talk & asked some questions
I've been wondering about you... you're getting close, huh? Just about a month left? My due date is June 24th.
Well, I live on the west side of Milwaukee County- so most of what I know is over here.
I took prenatal water aerobics at the WAC in Tosa. You can check online or call the nearest WAC by you and see if they have the classes too. You can start at any point in your pregnancy (actually don't even have to be pg!). I started at 28ish weeks and did it twice a week up until the day I delivered. I LOVED water aerobics. I believe some of the YMCA's also have water aerobics, I know the one by me does. Otherwise, just check any place near you that has a pool. Oh, you don't have to be a member of the WAC or YMCA to take the H20 aerobics.....you just pay for the class. The WAC's was $75 for 7 weeks - a total of 14 - one hour classes.
I don't know about yoga. The Destination Maternity store in Brookfield has free prenatal classes and they have several yoga classes, but that's a long ways for you.
HTH!
I figured wait she had to know or at least have found out a few days after! At least you got some questions anwsered on the sly LOL. Your due two days after my birthday June bdays are great for Parties!!
Yeah it's getting really close and really scary. I'm a nervous wreck most of the time that we don't have anything or I'm forgetting something. But over all everythings going great. We had an U/S last week and he's measuring 5lbs 6oz which my Dr. says is right on track but we have another one sometime the week of Jan 4th to see if we need to be induced since I have GD. I'm just really uncomfortable since my belly isn't very big and he is it hurts something depending on how he's laying.
So we have 5 or less weeks left because my DR. won't let me go over my due date!
If you need any help let me know! How's the job hunt coming? Or how are you liking the new job you had started?
Congrats! I was feeeling bad about all our baby talk that night.
The Wisconsin Athletic Club offers both classes.
