Zoo Lights was AWESOME!

Just in case anyone is thinking about going, we went on Saturday and had a wonderful time!  There was tons of familes, teenagers on dates, married couples in their 30's, older people, etc.  It was beautiful and the weather was great on Saturday night.

They do it nightly from 5pm-8pm through January 3rd, it was about $11 per person, and I would recommend getting there EARLY.  The parking lot was insane, we got there around 5:30 and it filled up shortly thereafter.  We left around 7:30 and there was a ton of poeple still trying to get in... Either get there early or take the MAX.

  • We're going this week and I can't wait! I've seen the lights in the day and it looks like it will be a lot of fun :)

  • We went Saturday too with the inlaws.  We went last year and loved it.  I'm going to have Jeff take me back again this year so it can be a tradition we do each year that's just us because I love it so much!
  • Oh!  They also have free shuttle buses.  We used that this year because we went after eating out.  We got there at exactly the right time, probably 7:15 and hopped on the first bus that showed up.  By the time it was loaded and we pulled out there was a line all the way back to the parking lot.
  • Cool! We thought about doing it, but since we're members of the zoo (but not plus members) we were disappointed with the price. Good to hear it's worth it though!

If you love Christmas lights it will be worth it.  : )  There's a train ride that you can take that might or might not be worth doing.  We did it last year, but didn't do it this year with the inlaws.  I don't think I really missed it, but I realized if I do have Jeff take me back again this season I'll probably want to go.  You do need to buy the tickets at the gate, though, when you buy your entrance tickets.

  • I'm jealous. I wanted to go last Tuesday when my student teaching students were performing with their choir but by the time MH got off work, it was way too late to leave. This weekend is a no go, as well. I love zoo lights!

  • I totally thought it was worth the price, it was gorgeous! We didn't ride the train because the line was RIDICULOUS long.
