Circus Themed Baby Shower ideas?
Hey girls!
I need Ideas for a circus baby shower. It is for a boy if that makes a difference.
Im thinking maybe doing candied apples for favors?
What foods come to mind when you think circus?
Decorations?
I want it to be fun, but leaning towards grown up and classy...

Well peanuts and cotton candy come to mind with food. Seltzer water...
If you have the food covered, you could go with bright colors. Blue, red, yellow... you could stick with whimsical gerbera daisies and pinwheel bouquets/centerpieces. To keep it a bit more grown up I'd stick with a couple colors, or maybe a color per table.
If you wanted a signature drink you could do a (virgin) banana daiquiri.
Of course. I loved all of them, and hope someone gets knocked up soon so I could use them!
For food, I would do gourmet versions of circus basics-- corn dogs/hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy. Like:
Baked Mini Corn Dogs
Sweet and Spicy Popcorn or 3 Herb Popcorn in "About to pop!" popcorn boxes (OMG, these are so freakin' cute!!!)
Cotton Candy Cupcakes
For decor, I would do bright striped fabric for the table clothes with a centerpiece of a balloon bouquet or a bouquet of Gerbera Daisys or pinwheels. This bunting would also be cute. Oriental Trading Co. has some other fun, cheap stuff as well. Have fun with it!!
You could also do sugar cookies shaped like different circus animals and decorated for favors. We did these for a jungle themed shower and they turned out really cute!
And maybe a drink/daquiri could be a twist on a sno cone. I always ate sno cones at the circus.
For a more grown-up, modern touch, I would suggest sticking to two colors: red and white. Perhaps, you can use this image as symbol for the shower. Maybe call it a "big top baby boy shower" on the invites.

It's always easy to find red and white items: cups, plates, napkins, utensils. (you can add hints of yellow like the flag on the tent)
Popcorn containers are red and white (you can find them at Target dollar spot right now)
Your candies apples will be red.
Red can or bottles of Coca Cola are red and white and can be put out in a large ice tub.
For the grown up feel, how about some bright red flowers in white vases as decor?
Maybe red and white streamer can be hung like a tent from the ceiling like this...

I just threw a jungle baby shower and there are some cross over stuff you could do. And we decorated adorable little onsies.
