Need travel help
Hi Florida Nesties!
I'm a MI nestie and will be leaving for our honeymoon cruise out of the port of miami? Does anyone know if there are any public transportation stops near the port? Our hotel will bring us to the port free, but we need a cheap way to get back to FLL.
We'd like to take the tri rail from MIA to FLL, is there a bus or something that can get us from the port to MIA? We're looking for as economical as possible.

I went to google maps and put in the directions from the Port of Miami to FLL, and then selected "public transit". Depending on your dates and times, it should be no less than a 1.75 hr trip and probably cost at least $10/person. If you are willing to spend some more, I bet you can arrange for a Super Shuttle to take you there. That would take about 30-40 minutes. I am a huge fan of public transport and used to travel all the time by bus and rail in Miami. But Miami does not have the best system and has some seriously sketchy areas. Public transportation in MIA is lacking, and not very reliable. I would try the shuttle service the airport offers... but does require a fee.
