Ode to my favorite time of year :)
There isn't another time of year that I feel as energized and alive as when the Autumn/Holiday season arrives--and the weather (finally) becomes crisp. I guess it was because of the long, hot Virginia summers but while many folks look forward to the spring/summer months I have always been a Fall girl through and through.
I love:
-cozy nights around the fireplace with a warm mug of hot chocolate
-the deep blue of the sky and brilliant Autumn sunsets
-rosy cheeks and being able to see your breath in the air
-pumpkin, cinnamon, apple, and peppermint aromas
-sweaters, jeans, scarves, and boots
-how our kitties snuggle closer to us when it's chilly outside
-football and "talkin bout the game" the day after
-celebrating our anniversary
-the landscape ablaze with shades of orange, red, and yellow
-Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
-Eggnog and the holiday coffee mate flavors
-decorating our new home for fall
-spending more time with family and friends
