so my parents are spending christmas together.

sis and i were shopping over the weekend, and we saw two books:

"why a daughter needs a mom"

"why a daughter needs a dad"

if we both weren't on a budget, we'd have given them. sis thought it'd be funny to pass them out on christmas since it's now become a tradition to have a FAMILY holiday.

DH teased me that my parents are going to get back together for Christmas, and it's what every little kid dreams about.

i don't know how to feel about it. on one hand, ew. on the other hand, it would make visiting all the parents a lot easier when they are all in one place.

good luck to them, i say.

Re: so my parents are spending christmas together.

  • That would be tres weird.  It's weird just to think of the ILs seeing each other without laser eyeballs, so any purposeful meetings would be super weird.

  • Before my dad died we always spent holidays wtih ex-step mom. My mom lives several states away but when she was in town for a holiday or kids party, wedding etc. we'd all be together. When he died everybody was right there too. It probably seemed wierd to everybody else but that's how it always was. If they can be adults about it sure does make things easier.
