So my uncle, his Russian GF, and her daughter...
(Trying to keep the board moving)
Are going to be at Christmas. The daughter is 6. Neither speak much English at all. We met them at Thanksgiving and it was interesting. They both seem very sweet.
It took me about 25 min to decide on what to buy the daughter for Christmas because what do you get for a child that has experienced such a culture shock to begin with?
I ended up getting her a puzzle and an Etch-a-Sketch.
Should I get the GF an ornament or something? I also have some Philosophy lotion and body wash that I bought for a gift and didn't end up putting in it. IDK if that would be something she would want or not. Maybe I'll ask my mom.
Oh and my sister's FIL is going to be at Christmas too. Which is always a little odd because he's a Jojoba's Witness and always leaves to walk my sister's dog when we open gifts because of his faith. It's always tres awkward when he does it too.
How are we going to translate that to the GF? LOL
So, I may have some stories after Christmas.
