First off want to say Hi..

I'm new to the nest, and was scrolling thru the posts and saw *amye* and I got excited cause I rarely see the same exact spelling of my name, sorry little things amuse me.

Just wanted to beam on knowing another Amye spells there name with an E.

Re: *Amye*

  • It is definitely unique and people always do a "Wait, what?  Can you spell that again?" to me!!  I have to tell the truth though ... it's not the way it was spelled when I was born.  The true spelling of my name is AMY.  Why did I add an E, you ask?  Well.  When I graduated 8th grade, there were EIGHT girls in that class named Amy and we ALL spelled it that way!!  So I decided when I went to HS I was going to be a little different w/ a name I, at the time, perceived as totally boring, and add an E to it!!  Although I never got it legally changed, it is spelled that way on everything.  =)  So, I'm not as original as you, I guess.  =)

    Thanks for saying hello!!  =)
