Just making a new post so I wouldn't hijack the post below -- if you've had your wisdom teeth out in Austin, would you recommend your oral surgeon? I'd try to get into one of those studies, but I don't think I can because I'm on birth control.
Also, a second question -- when you go with an oral surgeon, is it your medical insurance that covers it, or dental insurance, or some of both? I was considering having this done before I started a new job, but then I might be temporarily without health insurance. TIA!
Re: Oral surgeon recs
Dr. Bookmyer!
I have had my wisdom teeth out and an implant put in. And my DH has had a tooth pulled out and an implant put in. We love him!
I recommend Dr. Perkins with Hill Country Oral Surgery. He took out my wisdom teeth, as well as DH's. He had a great way about him, and even called us after our procedures to make sure we were okay.
:-)
I had an excellent experience w/ Dr Perkins as well. I had a bad reaction to the local and had to go back that night and he met us there. We also got calls from him that night and the next day.
