We need a couples massage! Recommendations?
OMG DH and I have some serious knots in our backs, and I finally convinced him to do a couples massage. We could, of course, do separate ones... but I think he'll be more comfortable with me there. He already feels like a massage is too girly. LOL.
Has anyone here ever gotten a couples massage that was awesome? Any recommendations on place/person? What's the price? I live in Winter Park, but I'd travel a bit for a good place. I've been to Euro Day Spa for myself before... not so sure I'm "in love" with it.
Thank you!!
In the end, only kindness matters...

Re: We need a couples massage! Recommendations?
I go to a place in Melbourne and I pay $55 for a 1 hour deep tissue massage. I've been going there for about a year....this is the splurge I give myself. My husband goes with me every once in awhile too, but they don't have rooms where they do "couple's massages"; each room belongs to a particular massage therapist and has only one massage table...we just go in rooms across the hall from each other. We absolutely love deep tissue massages. It is SO relaxing both for the body and mind.
So I go to Lara Bedor at FL Hospital Sports Medicine (Lee road and Adanson-- in winter park).
She is AMAZING. it's $55 or $65 for an hour (i can't remember off the top of my head) and she is great.. she really works everything out and just has an amazing touch. Though it isn't a couple's place-- she does travel to your home (i think it's a little bit more) maybe your husband will be more comfortable at home?? i'm not sure if she has anyone who will travel with her-- but i wouldn't go to anyone else.. i can't say enough good things about her..
if you want her number or anything else- you can email me at lillygraziani AT gmail.com (not spaces:)
We did a couples massage as our "gift" to eachother for Valentine's Day. I had been trying to convince him to do a massage party as our gift for the bridal party, but he thought that would be too girly. We went to Blush Day spa on 434 & maitland blvd. and we both LOVED it. They had a couples room where we had our massage. The place and the atmosphere was REALLY nice. I can't remember how much it was though. He enjoyed it sooooo much that afterwards, he was like "I have a great idea what to get our bridal party!!!! How about we go somewhere and do massages! That was awesome!" lol. We did our spa party at Longwood Healing Center which was also very nice, but I don't think they had a couples room though. HTH
DH and I got a couples massage at the Ritz Carlton spa. (It isn't cheap, but it is really nice!)
DH and I both like massages so I didn't have to convince him to go. (He actually set this up for a Valentine's Day present)
The couples room was nice, but we really didn't feel like it was really any different than a regular message excpet for the fact that we were in the same room. But since your DH is "iffy" on massages this would probably be a nice baby step. (Honestly I can't imagine anyone not loving massages -- they make me feel SO much better -- but I know there are people that don't like them)
I have been to several spas in and around Orlando and none of them are my favorite . . . I just can't seem to find a place I really love. (I guess I gotte keep trying!)
Anyway, have fun with your couples massage!
