Oregon Nesties
Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

New to area

I just moved to Beaverton last week and have realized how how it can be to meet new friends.  I was talking to one of my friends earlier about how it seems difficult to meet friends once your out of school.  Also, my husband and I would often meet friends of our own, but tried a few times to meet other couples and for one reason or another didn't hit it off with them as a couple, even though singularly we got along great.

Anyway-- are there any local community schools/centers that have community classes such as photography, dance, cooking/etc?  I'd like to meet other people with similar interests, but as I'm not familiar with the area, my google search seems very broad.

 :) thanks for the help!

Re: New to area

  • Beaverton is a part of the Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation District, which has fabulous community classes. Check out thprd.org for facilities and schedules. Good luck meeting new people :)
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Thank you!  I will definately check it out
  • You can also search for groups on www.meetup.com. I'm a recent transplant as well. I've started lookng around there, but haven't had time to really go to anything.
