gift suggestions for two young girls...

My husband's family is flying in from out of the country for Christmas.  They have two young daughters, but no one knows their ages.  I want to get something small for them to unwrap, but have no idea.  The family doesn't speak English, so I have to wait until my IL's or husband can ask them, but I don;t want to wait until last minute.  Des anyone have any ideas?

  • Art supplies!  If you stick with washable markers, paints, and paper you don't have to worry about ages.  If you're pretty sure they're over 3 you can get beads and foamie crafts too.

Board games are nice too but you might run into a language barrier if the directions are only in English or something.  My kids' favorites are Cariboo, Hullabaloo, Hi Ho CherryO, Trouble, and Hungry Hippo.

  • You can't go wrong with Crayola stuff or teddy bears.

I've got more issues than a magazine
  • Thats a tough one..you don't know their ages and it has to be something they can take with them on the plane to go home.

Um....small stuffed animal, small travel games. If they don't speak english then books are pretty much out of the question, unless its a picture book.
