Layne, I read your post about wanting to get back to NYC sometime near Christmas. DH and I did a three-day trip there in December and it was amazing! It was my first time to NYC and it was sooo pretty to see all of the Christmas decorations and see snow in Central Park and ice skate at Rockefeller Center. Anyway, I highly recommend it!

  • Aw, that sounds wonderful!  You aren't helping calm the urge to get back to NYC!!  Wink  But it does make me very excited to go in the winter.  Especially since I've been ice-skating in Rockefeller Center once and I'd love to go again with B.  Especially since I'm the opposite of atheletic or coordinated but for some reason I'm actually decent at ice-skating and B, who is great with everything that involves athleticism or coordination, SUCKS on the ice.  He's so funny to watch. Also, I actually have a couple questions for you, if you don't mind:

    1.  I'm surprised it snowed as early as December there!  I would love to see snow!  Do you think that's normal for that time of year?  Also, when in December did you go?

    2.  Can you recommend a hotel?

    3.  Our honeymoon was 12 days long and I feel I could have stayed longer.  So I'm worried that it will feel super short. Obviously we'd have a totally different agenda and we'd go into it with the mindset of it being a shorter vacation.  Just a worry I have.  So, do you think 3-4 days is enough to feel "satisfied" with the trip?

    TIA!
