...how to get the swelling down in your feet?
It's pretty gross; do you remember what it was like when you would push on a part of a Stretch Armstrong doll and it would take forever for it to go back to its original shape? Yeah, my ankles and the tops of my feet are JUST like that. It's really disgusting and they hurt A LOT. I've guzzled so much water today that I felt like I lived in the bathroom, and I've alternated between walking (recommended by my doctor last week) and propping my feet above my heart.
I'm ready for either the summer to be over, or to have this baby. My feet can't take much more of this. I actually figured that I'd try on some shoes today and OMG...nothing fit at ALL. Not even a size above what I normally wear (I wear an 11)!!. Sigh. Flip flops will continue...
Re: Can anyone offer advice on...
I don't have any advice for you, but I just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about your poor ankles and feet!!! Sounds miserable!!!
My aunt told me that one day she had to walk out of work without shoes on because by the end of the day, her shoes wouldn't fit!! I just can't imagine!
Can you wear flip flops to work? I have to wear dressy clothes to work so I don't know what I'd do!!!
On a side note: Baby A. starting kicking this weekend! It's so funny to watch my tummy move on it's own like that. My husband felt it yesterday when he had his hand on my tummy and he said, "Whoa.. did you do that??" ha ha!! It's nothing like that video of yours with the remote, but it was still cool!!
So I looked it up to see what could help. I found this link seems to have some stuff you haven't tried yet.

I had friends recommend soaking your legs in an icy bathtub, but that never did anything for me. My OB recommended compression hose/socks for me. I think it helped a little.
But I had pre-e, so my swelling and ankle rolls were a bit extreme. I went from an 8.5 to size 11 crocs! Yikes! lol
