Hello Peoria!
My husband and I are headed to Peoria mid August from San Fran. Another lovely CAT relocation!:) Is anyone from there? Or near the area?
I would love to get some insight on fun things to do! I've been there since his family is from there and we're definately ready to slow things down from the high speed pace of San Francisco!

DH is in the engineering rotational development program. He just started May 20. I think he's doing something in manufacturing engineering at this rotation. Starting Jan 1, 2010 (after the rotational program ends), we'll more than likely be in Decatur for at least 3 years.
What's NACD? I don't know any other CAT wives/girlfriends, though I definitely want to. We're six hours from our families, so Illinois is lonely!
Since he just started you'll find that there's always a support group. Ask him to introduce you to some CAT wives/girlfriends.
NACD is something having to do w/ equipment and marketing. Not entirely sure. We've been in SF for 3.5 yrs and before that he was in Nashville (where we met). We'll be in Peoria for about 3-5 years then from there we have NO CLUE.
DH is finally starting to meet people at work that he seems to want to hang out with. Hopefully some of these people have SO's for me to talk to.
Wow, you guys have been all over! So far we know that we'll be here in central Illinois and in central Missouri for a few months. I wouldn't mind living in other parts of the country, just so long as I could meet people quickly. I'm always really eager for DH to come home because I have no one to talk to during the day.
I'm in Peoria... another CAT wife here. Unknown for what amount of time we are here for... just enjoying it while it lasts!
