Hey girl,
I am trying to pick an OB today and going through the recommendations I got. I saw your dr's website, and it says she takes my insurance so that's a plus! I was just wondering what she's like. Is she supportive of charting? Does she spend a lot of time with you at your appointments? You said she was "old school" - what makes you say that?
Sorry if these are a lot of questions, I just want to make sure I find someone I like! Thanks!
Re: *~*Lawby~*~
Love the siggy, momma-to-be!
Ok my honest opinion about my doc. I only brought up charting once to her though, so I am not sure about how well she is, because she didn't refer to charting so much again.
I like her because she doesn't waste time. If something isn't working, she will send you for numerous tests and gives you numerous options. She is straightforward, but at the same time caring. She usually seats with you after the exam, e.g. pap, to discuss or to answer any questions that you may have. My last appointment with her, I was bawling because I wasn't sure about the lupron. She came in, gave me the pros and cons. Then she said she was giving me some time to think it over. 10 minutes later, after speaking to DH, I told her that I would go ahead. She repeated the pros and gave me some encouragement etc.
I call her old school because she uses real cloth nities (the robes they give you to wear) not the disposable ones and her office does not look very modern (again, not sure about the Bellrose Office).
I have been to see her a few times and I really like her but everyone is different, so ya know keep your options open!
Good Luck whatever you decide!
