big relief.

So ya'll know how we are trying to buy a house... H got transferred to another district and that has kinda made it a little more difficult to get financing bc of my employment. ... So H decided to fire our mtg broker and go with someone else. He called a the credit union that we have our truck financed through and talked to someone there about a FHA loan. The lady suggested trying to get pre-approved using only H's income.....

(the problem with using both of our incomes is that since we are moving 100 miles from my current job the lender will not really care what my current income is, they will wantto see a month of paystubs from my new job that i would have to get in our new area....which would mean that my dad would have to build the house, and we would have to live in it before we could close and my dad could get paid for the house, not fair really)

...how come the mtg broker never mentioned this?? We talked with him for a month and we just went in circles.. So H talked w/ me about it last night and i told him that would be great if we can just use his income. so he calls the lady today to talk with her and he calls me and says that he got pre-approved for the amt we need, woo hoo!! I'm so excited! Now we just have to sign a contract w/ my dad and go to the bank to fill out paper work.

Whew, what a relief. I've really been stressing about all this financing nonsense.. Now we just have to save up half of the downpymt. We already have half of it saved... C'monnnnn tax return =)
