Anyone else at work today?

I am here. Traffic was great! I am leaving at noon and won't be back till next Tuesday! I have a ton of data entry to do - but first I need to go get a mocha and a cake donut.

i'm here and actually glad to be! Rosebud hardly slept a wink and Sprout had a full on melt down about going to school today.  So today i'm really appreciating the quiet calmness of my office.  There isnt a single person here who's crying Wink

mmmm, that mocha and donut sounds good!

  • LOL.  I know it sounds bad, but after the morning we had with the kids, I was happy to see L drive off with the kids to do errands this morning while I got to come to my warm and quiet office. Stick out tongue  It is one of those things you never thought you'd think (or say) pre-kids. Wink

  • so true! I always wished i had the opportunity to be a sahm (i'm sure i've mentioned it a bazillion times on here).  well, i've changed my mind on that one.  thank goodness for preschool, lol.
  • Not I.  I'm at home but about to head out to the store.  I'm finishing up my shopping list and will then brave the crowds.  I only had to go to the grocery store until my dog broke his tie out this morning.  Now I have to hit up Walmart too :-p

  • I'm at work today. We have a house full of S's family (her mom, daughter, and two nieces ages 5 and 7), and yesterday I was happy to come to work for a little break from the nuttiness (the 5- and 7-year-old wear me out!). Today I wish I could have stayed home, though, since S is really, REALLY sick and I wish I could have taken her to the doctor instead of sending her out by herself. :-(

Of course now that donuts have been mentioned, I might have to make a run to the store at lunchtime. Yum!

I would be a lousy stay at home mom if the kids were actually home.  Now that they are in preschool, I would love it.  I would have time to do the things around the house that need to be done, run errands so we didn't have to do them all weekend, attend their school functions,  etc. I am off till Tuesday - so the 4 of us will be together for 4.5 days straight. I will be MORE than ready to come back to work after that.

How does Sprout like preschool?  I wish our kids could get together and play since they are so close in age!

i know exactly what you mean.

Sprout got a glowing report from his teacher yesterday! He did great and i was so proud! This morning he was screaming and crying about not wanting to go, but i think that was b/c A was in a foul mood from staying up with the baby all night. He is very sensitive to other people's emotions so it really effected him.  She's officially off baby duty indefinitely - I'd rather be tired than have to deal with a cranky wife and tantruming 3 year old.

wow, that just turned into a vent. sorry about that Embarrassed

Anyway, i think he really does love daycare (they give stickers!) and he already has a girlfriend there ;) hehe

it would be so great if we could have the boys get together to play.  All of our friend have younger children so aside from school, he really never interacts w/ kids his age.

  • Im here today. I wish did not have to be though. One of my co-irkers is leaving at 2 and I said I would cover for her so she can have some Christmas Eve time with her kids. I don't know what time I will get out of here...

I still have 2 gifts to wrap for M and I know she will be home when I get there.

  • Since I work from home, I'm technically always at work.  I was up until 12:30 last night finishing a cake and am up again to work on the 2nd cake.
  • i'm home, but online to send some holiday pictures of monkey to far away family and friends (norway and amsterdam), so i decided to pop in. i'm getting ready to head out to the grocery to pick up a few things, then looking forward to spending our first christmas with our baby boy!
  • I'm at work, but only 9-2pm. It's just me one one other person in the office and our entire building is mostly empty. It's quiet though and I can get some stuff done..work and otherwise.
