If anybody is interested:
Cook 1c grits & 1t salt half way, add in 4 raw eggs, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1 t dry mustard, mix thoroughly, continue cooking.
When grits are cooked add in 1 - 2 T butter, 1/4 c shredded cheddar, mix until melted.
Enjoy!
OR, pat down into a container, making sure it touches all sides, then gently pour a layer of water over, and leave in refrigerator over night. Next day take out, pour off water, and cube grits.
In separate container mix together equal parts flour and corn meal and adobo. Beat eggs and splash of milk in separate container. Dredge grit cubes in egg and flour and fry in small amount of oil until golden brown on all sides.
Fried grits!
