Reviews on Madison baby picture places?

There are so many, it seems....JC Penney, Sears, Portrait Innvoations, and I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting.  Any recs for these types of places?  We don't want to use a professional photographer at this point.

  • I'm not trying to sound bossy, but depending on how many pictures you're going to order, it may turn out to be comparable to use a professional photographer that lets you have a disk of pictures to order wherever you want.

We use Casey Bower www.caseybowerphotography.com. I have a very large family, so its cheaper for me to be able to order from Walmart or shutterfly. Plus, Carrie does an amazing job, much better than you'd ever get in a studio.

  • I think there is a Picture People in East Towne. You could also try Wal-Mart or Target if you're looking for cheap although I don't think any of the Madison Targets have Portrait Studios.

  • I have yet to try Portrait Innovations but Sporty has and seems to really like them and the cost is great. I've tried JC Penney and Sears and find them to be comparable as far as price, service and quality of pictures. I also have gone to the Picture People and would advise against it if you are trying to keep cost down. We had our wedding photographer take the last round (Pierre's Portrait Arts) and those were the ones we were most happy with.
  • we took ds to Portait Innovations and they did a wonderful job and you also get a cd of all your pictures. We've been to Sears but weren't as thrilled with them. Also at Portrait Innovations you get your pictures right away, you look through them and then it takes maybe 10-15 minutes to print them.
