Word Press Blog - inserting a signature ?

I have previously asked this on D&R because a lot of those ladies blog, but I didn't get any responses.  So, I'm hoping someone here could help me.

I'm setting up my WP blog and I want to add a signature to the end of each blog post.

I'm very new to WP and I've searched about how to add a signature but it seems I have to add a plug in.

Is this the only way ?

I don't see signatures in blogs, really, so I would assume that it is something with little enough demand that it's not included.  A plug-in is likely your best option.

Signature aren't need unless there are multiple authors on the same blog. People assume that since it's YOUR blog that YOU are writing. Using a signature for a personal blog is silly.

The Little One

I have a signature for my personal blog.  You need to create a .png, .gif, or .jpg file and then manually add it at the end of every post.  You can look at my blog to see how I do it.  Feel free to PM me for questions.
