What was it? A 40 page scrap book (my first ever) that has all the emails from Dh and I when we first started dating in the summer of 2001 and he was working in the twin towers for the summer. I included pictures from the summer of 2001 until now.
Who got it? DH
How did they react? He was completely blown away by it and very very very happy. He is very honest and can not fake as happy as he was.
Did you think it was an awesome gift or were you surprised they liked it so much? I thought it was awesome. I was worried it won't come together the way I wanted it because I wanted it to be more professional but when I was putting all the pages in the book and then I flipped threw it...whoa. I was really impressed and excited for him to get it.What was it? An engraved silver guitar pick on a leather rope necklace

How did they react? He loved it, and said it was the best gift I've ever gotten him... even though it was delivered LATE! He didn't get it until yesterday
Did you think it was an awesome gift or were you surprised they liked it so much? Yes, I thought it was great, but I wasn't sure if DH would wear it (he's not a jewelry type)

Gel-Pro mat for my aunt - umm last time I talked to her, she was "too busy to open the package I sent" so I am a bit miffed (it cost $15 alone to ship).
Gel-Pro mat for a close family friend - she seemed to like it but no raves about it.. I bought it for her because she cooks a lot and has a bad back, so I thought she'd absolutely love it (no feedback yet). hmmm.
GreenPan set for DH - no more teflon pans and these are way better - he really likes them.

Did you think it was an awesome gift or were you surprised they liked it so much?He absolutely loved it, he has been saying for quite some time he wanted some. It was so cute watching him cut off each tag and hearing him say he can't wait to use it when he goes away for work next month.

How did they react? Eva loved the kitchen- we had set it up and put all her other gifts in front of it. She made us move the presents out of the way so she could get to the kitchen. I don't think she opened the rest of her gifts until about noon! The grandparents loved the photo book- they are always so appreciative of pictures of their little love.
Did you think it was an awesome gift or were you surprised they liked it so much? I thought they would like them (both Eva and the grandparents) but I was thrilled with how much they really loved them.
What was it? Tickets to the Oscar Night party at the George Eastman House.
Who got it? DH (well, technically me too, since I'm his date!)
How did they react? He loved it, and was totally surprised.
Did you think it was an awesome gift or were you surprised they liked it so much? I was surprised at his reaction since we've been saying forever that we need to go one year. He's a huge movie buff and I'm glad I can give him this little piece of "Hollywood" right here. It's the only red carpet we'll ever get to walk down, lol.What was it? I took a big box and put Sabres Tix in it and then put that box into another box with a Sabres sweatshirt.

The DH is difficult to buy for ( he never gives me any ideas) and I came up with the idea when telling my Mom how I really want to give him a gift he will never expect. I was sneaky about getting the sweatshirt & the tix so I thought that was pretty awsome by me. However, I also loved how I surprised the DH !The joys of teaching!
What was it? rented a vacation house on the coast of maine for my parents with my brother
Who got it? really all of us, but it's the only thing we could get for my parents. something they would never do for themselves, and they will enjoy completely expecially with Michael
How did they react? mom was in tears, dad kept saying 'why i can't i just stay home?' he was joking you have to know my dad. they had absolutely no clue. and the way we 'wrapped' it was soo cute i found almost all the 'travel' accessories i wanted to fill the tote and put them all on top of the scrapbook i created, under the scrapbook i had books on maine. and before i had them opent the tote me, dh and my brother left the room and put on plastic lobster bibs. my mom told me yesterday that for a moment she actally thought there might be live lobsters in the tote!

3. I anticipated it going over well! I spent forever on it, going through all our pictures, then figuring out how many to a page, etc. I definitely overthought the whole process, but she loved it so that was worth it
