Transferring DRM-protected songs to new iPod?
I'm on my third iPod (a Touch, yay!) and I have a host of songs that I foolishly bought from iTunes back in the day that iTunes now doesn't want to let me put on my new iPod. How can I get these songs on?
Re: Transferring DRM-protected songs to new iPod?
Hmm... I thought all that you had to do was authorize them on the computer you are using.
Or the round about way: burn the DRM protected songs to a CD (create a music cd, not a data cd), than when it is complete, import the CD you just created (before you import, check your settings, make sure the import format is mp3). The newly imported songs will be DRM free
"They say with time it gets better. Not true. With time you only get used to it."
If you don't mind spending a little money, ever since iTunes upgraded to non-DRM-laden songs, you have the option of paying a little per song (30 cents/song if I remember right) to get non-DRM, higher-quality versions of the songs you bought back in the day.
I can't remember what it's called, but on the iTunes store page it's on the upper right corner somewhere. If I were on my home computer I'd be able to give you a better response.
