cleaning services

Does anyone have a good suggestion for a cleaning company or maid service the services the Chesterfield area?  I am looking for someone preferably bonded and insured that does a good job and is on the less expensive side for a bi-weekly surface cleaning.  Thanks!

Re: cleaning services

  • I don't know of anyone, but you could post something on Craig's List.  Maybe you'll find someone good there if no one has any suggestions.

  • I've heard good things about Merry Maids.

  • We started using Merry Maids in Crestwood at Thanksgiving. They are not very expensive, however I am not sure if we will continue with them. Our home is generally pretty neat because we do not have any kids yet. We wanted someone to come in every other week and do things like dust, vacume, clean up pet hair and scrub the bathroom. They are great at all of the surface stuff. But even after elavung my own checklist for them, they have yet too vacuume the cat hair off of the curtains (the number one reason we hired them) and they clean the shower but don't scrub  the grout. We seem to have a problem getting them to do the little details. It seems silly but The reason I am paying someone to do these things is because I don't want/ have the time to do them myself. But it is very nice walking to the house after work and having the floors vaccumed and fresh sheets on the bed.
  • We use Domestic Goddess and they come once a month. They do a pretty good job, especially in the kitchen and bath. We also have a dog, so I love that they get the dog hair. I am not sure of the cost (my parents are paying right now - it was our wedding gift). I do know that my mom shopped around before choosing them.
