Anyone get any great presents?
Any crazy family stories?
Score any after Christmas deals?
I finally managed to get the ILs out of the house today, I was gently pushing my FIL out the door this morning. Ahhh! They had a good time, but their being here really stresses me out.
Now I've come down with a cold, I spent most of the day sleeping.
My favorite present: perfume from DH.
After Christmas deal: Dooney & Bourke bag at Nordstrom Rack for $65 (was $245). Sweet!
Re: POLL: How was Christmas?
We just got back from 5 days in Spokane visiting my family up there.. It was an intense weekend because this is more than likely going to be my stepmoms last Christmas (she has cancer, everywhere.. ) so the whole family got together and just spent a lot of time together.. It was nice, but bittersweet. Ya know?
My favorite gift: My iced tea maker
We also got a ton of baby stuff which is nice as well
Anyone get any great presents? No
Any crazy family stories? Bought my 6 year old nephew a cool Transformers facemask/helmet thing. He opened it up and said "Uh, I don't want this" and tossed it aside. WTF? Next year I'm not buying him anything.
Score any after Christmas deals? No, I looked but didn't see anything that I felt like buying.
I'm waiting on a check from my Mom to go shopping in Bend next week! Woot! Thanks Mom!
Your nephew sorta sounds like mine.. but he's 9.. while he appreciated all of the gifts, he opened them so fast he didn't take note as to who got him what, and didn't thank anyone for anything.. See if I buy him a video game again! Next year, it's clothes!!
It was interesting! My inlaws came for a week the week before Christmas and drove me BSC. Honestly, they're normally completely cool and normal but they couldn't leave soon enough this time around! Other than that, we've had Christmas totally to ourselves for the first time. It was kind of nice. : )
We're watching daisygirl's bunny, and she's the most exciting thing that's happened so far.
Jeff got me argyle knee high socks, which made me very happy! But then I'm a weirdo who doesn't like normal socks and have been looking for some cute argyle ones for a long time. BIL got me The New Super Mario Bros for the Wii, and we've played it a little. Jeff got me Lego Indiana Jones for the Wii which is awesome; we're halfway through it.
No great after Christmas deals, because I've pretty much been home sitting on my butt recovering from inlaws and school.
Yes! DH bought me a new laptop and the dining room set I've been wanting. He tends to go all-out on the gift giving. MIL bought me a digital frame. The rest of the family just sent us checks and gift cards.
NONE! We spent Christmas Eve with my "Little Sister's" family and had tamales and posole. Christmas day we lounged around in our pj's then went out to dinner.
I bought some stocking hangers and stockings for DH and two of the dogs.
No crazy family stories, as it was just us! Very chill Christmas. I feel like we ate all day (yummy breakfast, appitizers, steaks and yummy sides...cranberry cake for dessert and I even made cranberry mimosas!) We also went to see Sherlock Holmes....it was good but not great.
No after Christmas deals, except we did each get a pair of jeans at Old Navy for $15 each> I really wanted to stock up on Christmas stuff, but we have NO where to put them!
