Re: 12/28

  • My Christmas was pretty good. The weekend before Christmas my parents came down to visit. Then the week of Christmas I used vacation. DH and I had things to take care of for the business and for the car accident at the beginning of the week while I was free, but Tuesday evening on we actaully got to relax and enjoy time with one another.

We watched a ton of Christmas movies together, baked cookies, made Christmas Eve and Day feasts, and just spend quality time with one another and friends. It definitely wasn't the same without seeing our families, but it was nice to have a relaxing Christmas for once.

  • We had a very nice Christmas.  Very special since it was Nicholas' first Christmas.  He did pretty good in the toy dept.  I even put away a couple of toys until his birthday (not like he'll know I got toys in the guest room).

We did Christmas Eve dinner at my mom's house.  Christmas Day Breakfast at my sister's and Christmas Dinner at my house.

DH put away all the Christmas Decorations yesterday- so I finally have my family room back.  It was looking too crowded with the Tree, and baby gear in there.

  • Our Christmas was great!  We're both spoiled rotten and got everything we had on our Christmas lists plus more. It's kind of sickening really :-P

The Christmas family we adopted had a really wonderful Christmas too which really helped put us in the Christmas spirit.

We spent our time in WV from Wed night through yesterday.  The drive back was HORRIBLE though with holiday traffic. Next year I think we're hosting Christmas in SC.

  • Pretty good for me.

Hubby and I had "Christmas" on Christmas Eve.  He even cooked a big dinner with a turkey breast and mashed potatoes.  We opened our presents to eachother that morning and had all day to play with everything.

Christmas morning...we got up real early and drove to Nashville to spend Christmas with my brother's family.  My parents drove up there about 2 days before.  So we had our big family Christmas up there.  Then Saturday...my parents left so I had a day without them to spend with my niece and nephew.  I was spoiled rotten by my family and my husband.  I've got about $120 worth of JCPenny gift cards (including my birthday which was on the 21st) to go spend as well as a ton of kitchen gadgets that makes it necessary for me to completely rearrange my kitchen.
